It makes sense to choose a pair of autumn boots that will last you through to the depths of winter, though for serious cold weather? You need to take it up a level. Now it’s chilly, we’ve definitely put our sandals away, but we’re not ready to wear Arctic-appropriate winter boots just yet.

As with any purchase, it’s a sustainable win to choose well and make women’s boots last by re-soling them and regularly brushing off dust and debris. To protect any suede or fabric footwear, try using Scotch Guard spray, which will provide a water repellent layer (check the manufacturers' instructions first though and do a test somewhere inconspicuous).
