Irina Shayk may be known for being the face of lingerie label Intimissimi, and for being a Victoria's Secret angel, and for being the girlfriend of footballer Cristino Ronaldo, but the 28-year-old Russian model is also a beauty fanatic. For the past year she has been a Global Beauty Ambassador for Avon, and is now fronting the colour collection.We spoke to Irina about her love of colour, her exercise regime, and whether she'll be walking the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in London later this year.

Hi Irina, thanks for chatting to GLAMOUR! So, is it right that before modelling, you entered a beauty school - have you always been interested in beauty?

When I finished music school my sister was the one who was very interested in beauty as she loved to do her makeup…she asked me to join her to go to beauty school so I said 'why not!' It was when I was at beauty school that I got discovered by a model agency.

Why do you think some women are afraid of colourful makeup?

Yes, I think some woman are a little bit afraid of makeup - or even to try bold colours - but this summer I saw so many people wearing colourful lipsticks! I personally love a bold lipstick and my favourite of the moment is Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in Magenta Flash. It's a summery fashionable shade, and I feel very sexy in it!

How about the rest of your makeup?

As I prefer a bold lipstick, I like to keep my eyes more natural by using Avon's Big and Daring Mascara and then using SuperShock Gel Eyeliner in Black.

You've been called the 'Sexiest Woman In The World' - when do you feel your sexiest?

I feel most sexy when everything comes together! I like to maintain myself by going to the gym, I love the gym. I also feel most confident when I feel most beautiful inside - it shows on the outside! If I don't feel like putting on makeup to leave the house, I just add a slick of lipstick to make myself feel sexy.

God, you sound perfect! You've dabbled in acting fairly recently, which do you prefer? Modelling or acting?

I had a very small role in a big movie (Hercules) but I enjoyed it so much! It's so different to modelling as modelling is one image and all about your best angle, whereas on a movie set it's a completely different environment and you have to play your character.

I love modelling too - I love being on sets and building the relationships with those on set over time. My friends back in Russia love to see my photos in Avon campaigns, too! I do enjoy both though and hope to do more movies in the future.

What would be your dream acting role?

Maybe as a Russian spy!

You have a killer body! Which exercises do you enjoy and how do you motivate yourself to work out?

I love to do Pilates, boxing and even just going on a run. I do cardio twice a week as it's important for people who want to eat lots like me! I do Pilates ones a week.

Everyone needs to find something they love to do - it's not about what they have to do. You need to make it fun! So if shopping is your love and you hate exercise, walk to the shops!

What did you have for dinner last night?

I try to eat early around 7pm which is difficult as hungry again by 11pm - I grew up around that as my mother always eats at 6pm so tummy can rest after. I try to not eat red meat at night, so I eat fish or chicken and lots of vegetables.

Will you be starring in the Victoria's Secret fashion show in London?

You never know! Wait and see!

The show gets very cool acts perform, who would you love to see on the catwalk performing?

I love hip hop and R&B, so maybe Drake...
