Jenna Ortega Style: Red Carpet Fashion Evolution

We've already called it: 2023 is going to be a huge year for Jenna Ortega. We've rounded up the facts on her family and films but Jenna Ortega's style is our focus now. Wednesday Addam's goth-girl get-ups have definitely influenced Jenna's red carpet fashion choices recently but as the actor's career has spanned the past decade including major movies and TV moments, GLAMOUR looks back over the incredible evolution of Jenna Ortega style.
April 2018
Double denim never looked so good. Jenna wore a DSquared2 denim shirt and flared jeans to immaculate effect - but we're focused on her Time's Up badge. The Hollywood non-profit organisation was founded in response to the Me Too movement and raises money for legal action. Alongside her acting, Jenna has taken on an important advocacy role in the film industry and spoke to Forbes to confirm that, “There is no excuse to not speak up.”
June 2018
At the Teen Vogue summit Jenna continued her casual streak in a Day Dreamer LA tee and perfectly pale washed denim. With the tie-belt it and panelled detail on the jeans it proves that even Jenna's basics are far from boring.
January 2019
Recently we've seen Jenna wearing so much black but she also looks incredible in an array of bright colours - like this azure two-piece she wore to the premiere of action thriller Miss Bala.
January 2020
We've seen Jenna take inspiration from her Wednesday character but Jenna's style MO seems to have always been to take a theme and run with it… This sheer lace dress from Italian brand Gretel Z was the obvious choice for a Golden Globes afterparty.
May 2022
This is one of the first times Jenna wore such a major designer brand on the red carpet and, true to her own sense of style, she didn't do it by halves. The entire look was created by Valentino for the Met Ball's Gilded Glamour theme. Knockout.
October 2022
It's clear that Jenna is now on her way to style icon status with major names all lined up to dress the actor. On stage at Comic-Con she wore a black twill Gucci skirt suit with spider-web style patterned tights.
October 2022
October was a busy month for Jenna. On her way to Valentino's Paris Fashion Week show Jenna's long black leather trench coat conceals a sheer lace dress, complete with visible black underwear (and all Valentino, naturally.) Jenna's dark look was in contrast to the majority of other show-goers, who plumped for Pink PP, Valentino's branded shade of eye-popping magenta, which Jenna wore back in May.
October 2022
Still at PFW (well, it does go on for ten days…) Jenna stepped out in another Valentino dress. For an evening out, she wore sunshine yellow, accessorised with a hot pink handbag, to break out of her black spell - although she did fall back on her favourite Valentino custom platform heels which added inches to her 5'1" frame.
November 2022
Heading to a chat show appearance with Jimmy Kimmel in Australian designer Dion Lee and Louboutins… Jenna's stylist Enrique Melendez has echoed Jenna's method-like commitment to her roles by styling the actor in a series of gothic glam lewks that Wednesday would likely die for…
November 2022
It's here… the premiere for Wednesday. Jenna looks devastating and has clearly arrived as a red carpet icon, wearing in an entire look from Versace spring / summer 2023.
December 2022
Rounding off an epic year, Jenna took to the stage in Dolce & Gabbana for a spot on US chat show, Fallon Tonight. The contrast collar and cuffs and tie are pure Wednesday Addams inspired, while the sheer fabric and cinching metal belt hint at a grown-up aesthetic yet to be revealed. With a nomination for a Golden Globe for her Wednesday role and awards season about to hit, all eyes will be on Jenna Ortega style in 2023… and, we're betting, years to come...
