Lollapalooza Colombia Canceled After Headliner Rihanna Reportedly Drops Out

The inaugural Lollapalooza Colombia has been canceled after a headliner dropped out without enough time for the music festival to find a replacement, the fest announced on Sunday.
While Lollapalooza Colombia did not specify which headliner had pulled out, several Colombian outlets are reporting that it was Rihanna, who reportedly canceled her set due to concerns about the Zika virus.
“The organizers wish to express their deep appreciation to all the fans who supposed the festival since day one, as well as the sponsors and the media partners,” said a statement in Spanish on the music festival’s website. “We hope to return in the future to realize this first edition of Lollapalooza in the country.”
Rihanna has not publicly announced on social media or otherwise that she was canceling her performance. Her reps did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment on Sunday.
Disclosure, Lana Del Rey and Wiz Khalifa were also set to perform. Lollapalooza started in Chicago, where it continues to take place annually, and began expanding with a Chile edition in 2011. It has since added editions in Argentina, Brazil and Germany.
