You've probably already heard that Polo Ralph Lauren opened their first European flagship Polo store on Regent's Street last month but have you heard that it now offers product personalisation? Yes, it's Polo Ralph Lauren's First Polo Custom shop in the world.

When you walk in, the store is like one of the most beautiful Hampton's Country Clubs you've ever seen. Persian rugs, leather chesterfield sofas and tartan tweed cushions make up the upstairs "traditional" decor but, below, the Polo Custom Shop offers a new kind of Polo Ralph Lauren. Club-like, bright lights line the ceiling and vintage oak cabinets are tiered high with colourful polos ready for you to put your own stamp on them.

The interactive service allows you to create clothes for men, women and kids and it offers a huge range of items. From the classic navy blazers to Oxford shirts, knit Oxford shirts and the classic polos - you select the item you like and create your custom design using an iPad. They'll then create your design and you can either collect it in store or they'll send it out to you.

The thing we love about their new custom shop is, not only will it add an edge to Polo Ralph Lauren's preppy styles, the brand is really pushing the boundaries beyond just monogramming. Of course, we love initials but what can you not monogram these days? Perfume? Tick. Dressing gown? Tick. Bags? Tick. This is a different, newer kind of customising. You can now customise your items by adding embellishments, opt for a hand-beaded strap on your favourite tote, add a custom crest or patch to your item (wait until you see the Corgi design) or play around with different colours.

All we're saying is this has Christmas shopping written all over it. What will you create?
